A fifteen-year veteran of the film industry, Mar Andersons was born in Vancouver B.C., Canada. After studying film writing, directing and producing at both The University of British Columbia and The Vancouver Film School, Andersons refined his on-camera talents studying with some of the industries finest including Jeff Goldblum, John Ritter and Malcolm McDowell.
Andersons' experience in film marketing and distribution is extensive. He worked for a Vancouver based company that handled marketing and promotion in western Canada for some of the largest film studios in the world, including Warner Brothers, 20th Century Fox, Universal, Alliance, New Line and Miramax.
As a working actor, Andersons has appeared in over forty feature films, television movies and series. Some include "The X - Files", "Little Women", "Cats & Dogs", "The New Addams Family","Outer Limits", "First Wave", "Cabin By The Lake", "Stargate SG-1", "These Arms Of Mine", "The Guard" and the ABC hit "Men In Trees".
As a producer, Andersons started doing corporate video presentations and music videos. His first film was the short film "Three Rings". He then went on to Co-Produce the critically acclaimed half hour film entitled "The Love Charm", for which the British Columbia Motion Picture Association awarded him a Leo Award in the Best Picture category. The British Columbia Motion Picture Association awarded him with a LEO award in the Best Picture category for his efforts on "The Love Charm". Andersons then went on to produce the festival hit "Barbecue ... a love story", which traveled to over fourteen film festivals worldwide including Berlin, South By Southwest, Houston, Moving Pictures and Vancouver.
Andersons then went on to become Executive Vice President of "After the Edge Films", a film finance company based in Canada. He Produced the Warner Brothers & Lions Gate Films release "Sol Goode" starring Jamie Kennedy, Balthazar Ghetty, Jared Leto, Kathererine Towne, Jonothan Scheach, Robert Wagner, Carmen Electra, Tori Spelling and Natasha Gregson Wagner.
Andersons currently advises institutional and private equity groups, both foreign and domestic, into various film projects and opportunities. He is also writing, producing and directing various television and radio commercials.
